What does “Posé” mean in ballet?
; A term of the Cecchetti school and RAD. From a fondu , a dancer steps with a straight leg onto an en pointe or demi-pointe foot, then brings the working leg to cou-de-pied , so that if the step is repeated, the working leg will execute a petit développé . This can be done in any direction or turning (the later also known as tour piqué ).
